KitKor Cattery endeavors to produce Maine Coons with outstanding personalities, beautiful coats and conformation. We produce most colors accepted within the registries. We will be happy to reserve a kitten for you, and if we do not have what you are looking for, we are more than willing to refer you to another reputable breeder. The first recognized Maine Coon Cat was Captain Jenks of the Horse Marines, a black and white male owned by F.R Pierce in 1861. Pierce showed a brown tabby coon and won at the prestigious Madison Square Garden Show. Pierce also showed another cat, King Max, and very well a the Boston shows with him. The coon cat gained steadily in popularity until the importation of the Persian cats in the early 1900s. In the late 70s the Maine Coon was making a smashing comeback and now reigns as the official cat for the state of Maine. Although still a very popular show cat, the Maine Coon is the ideal choice as a family pet. The coon is substantial in size and stature, but is not as behemoth as many legends would lead one to believe. They are gentle, lovable, and very devoted companions. Most coons love to retrieve and their clown-like antics are a joy to behold. All KitKor kittens are vet checked prior to shipping. Health is fully guaranteed. Kittens sold as pets are subject to terms of a neuter/spay agreement. TICA CFF CFA Member MCBFA & UMCCA |
